Solar
Photovoltaic – photo meaning “light” and voltaic meaning “electricity” – solar cells convert the radiant energy from the sun’s light into an electric current that by means of an inverter can produce usable electricity.
The most common PV solar system consists of a roof mounted array of panels containing a grid of solar cells and busbars attached by racks to either residential or commercial roofs.
Ground arrays work the same way as roof arrays, where panels and busbars are installed on racks at ground level. They can offer the same results as roof arrays for installations where roof arrays are not applicable or practical, i.e. located in open land. Because ground arrays are not dependent on the aspect of the roof they can be placed and angled more accurately, optimizing your energy production, therefore increasing potential of savings over time.
Photovoltaic (PV) Solar can eliminate or significantly reduce your power bill, with an average return of investment by 8 to 10 years. The benefits from installing solar panels doesn’t only help save money, you’re investing in a brighter tomorrow. Pure, clean energy being captured by PV panels has the least negative impact on the environment compared to any other energy source. Greenhouse gases are not transmitted, resulting in a reduction of dependence on fossil fuels. There is no need for the use of water, meaning less pollutants running into our waterways, and with no noise being created they’re a perfect energy option for urban centers. As long as there is sunshine or grey covered skies, solar energy can be transmitted anywhere. This is particularly useful for remote and rural locations.
